Part-Time Administrative Professional

FORECON, Inc. has an immediate opening at its Corporate Headquarters for highly motivated, professional, part-time Administrative Professional. The ideal candidate would reside within 20 miles of Falconer, NY.

 

Interviewing/ Hiring timeline: Ongoing, and open until filled

 

Principal Duties Include:

  • Relieve the administrative staff of routine activities. Help and support other employees as needed.
  • Reception: Greet visitors, answer inbound calls. Foster a positive, harmonious, respectful, and professional demeanor with each employee, client and potential client.
  • Manage all assigned tasks and projects to ensure office activities are conducted in a productive, professional, and timely manner.
  • Type and proofread letters, forest management plans, applications, reports, timber sale prospectuses, and  contracts.
  • Prepare invoicing, complete billing reports, and attain proficiency with client-specific invoicing programs
  • Create and organize new files, re-file dead/closed files, track timber sale results
  • Procure supplies (office, field supplies & equipment for all offices) and maintain/schedule repair of office equipment
  • Ensure frequent and good communication with Administrative Coordinator, Owners, Office Managers, Foresters and Project Managers

 

Principal Requirements include:  

  • An Associate’s Degree in Business preferred, or 2 years minimum of formal training and general office experience required. 
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in written and oral communication, including dealing with clients of varying personality styles, backgrounds, and communication styles.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, knowledge of office machines and ability to learn/operate various computer operating systems and programs.
  • Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the work. 
  • Self-motivated, attentive, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Implement, facilitate, and adhere to corporate protocols, and standard forms/documentation.
  • Ability to solve practical problems, involving analytical and deductive reasoning
  • Maintain a professional demeanor at all times, friendly, and communicate effectively with clients, customers, and staff, dealing with challenges in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Strong preference will be given to a candidate demonstrating superior ability to communicate and function in a pleasant, professional, and positive manner.

 

Job Type:                           Part-time (20-30 hours per week, up to 1,000 hours per year)

Starting Compensation:  $18.00 – $22.00 per hour, depending on experience; paid over-time
