Forester Friday

Spotlight on Jason Wenrich, ACF

Jason Wenrich is FORECON’s Director of Business Development / Chief Forester and is based out of the State College, Pennsylvania office.  His responsibilities include promoting the services of the company to a wide variety of potential clients, ensuring client satisfaction, conducting audits of the company’s field work, and helping coordinate acquisition and disposition projects for our clients.  He also provides services to private landowners and institutional forestland investors, working in close communication with our other office managers to help ensure company-wide client satisfaction.

Before coming to FORECON, Jason worked for another forestry consulting firm, as well as a large sawmill manufacturing quality hardwood lumber. He has been with us since 2005, starting as the Office Manager of our Oak Hill, West Virginia office, where he continues to play a critical role in planning and supervision.  In 2012 he moved to the State College, Pennsylvania area and opened a sub-office focusing on private forestry consulting as well as managing thousands of acres of forests owned by private and institutional investors in central/eastern Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

Jason is very involved in promoting the profession of forestry.  He is a Member of the Association of Consulting Foresters (ACF), a Member of the Society of American Foresters, and a Member of both the Pennsylvania and West Virginia Forestry Associations.  He also currently serves as Vice-Chair for the Pennsylvania SFI (Sustainable Forestry Initiative) Implementation Committee (SIC) that focuses on promoting and implementing sustainable forestry.

Jason is always the first to volunteer to help the needs of our other offices regardless of what or where the project is, and always acts as a great “morale booster” for the crew.  “Chief” (as the field staff fondly refers to him) enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, trout fishing and deer hunting in the fall.

We truly appreciate all the positive attributes and abilities that Jason brings to the table and are confident that you will too! If you have questions regarding forestry, timber harvesting or management planning on your property in Central/Eastern Pennsylvania, don’t hesitate to give Jason a call at (814) 548-7148 or send him an email at jwenrich@foreconinc.com.
